The Bridal Shopping Experience: What To Expect

Congratulations!  You have begun your wedding planning and it's time to find "the dress".  Due to reality television shows such as "Say Yes To The Dress", it's no secret that shopping for the perfect gown can be overwhelming; but it doesn't have to be that way!  Here are a few tips to allow your day of shopping to go smoothly:

Party Size

When you first get engaged, the surrounding excitement can make you feel obligated to bring your entire family and friends to "experience" your gown shopping.  Unfortunately, this can actually do more harm than good.  With a large party, the overwhelming amount of opinions can make you second guess your own emotions, leaving you confused and exhausted.  Instead, focus on bringing those closest to you, such as your mother, a sister, or a long-time best friend.  We know it can be tempting to include everyone, but trust us on this one!  It will make your gown shopping experience much more special.

Consultation

At Lana Addison Bridal, we provide a personalized gown shopping experience.  Every bride will have their own consultant to guide you through your appointment and help with narrowing down styles, likes/dislikes, and to eventually finding your gown!  Our salon is relaxed and inviting, allowing you and your guests to browse around.  In addition, your consultant will pull gowns that they feel you should try on based from your pre-appointment feedback and their experience.  We want to provide direction and also allow you to be in control of your experience.

Ordering

Depending on the designer, gowns take anywhere from three to six months to arrive.  If you have a tight timeline, we offer rush services and sometimes can order gowns in stock.  We are in communication with our brides during the entire process of finding your gown until it is received in our salon to ensure everything runs smoothly.  Wedding planning is stressful enough!
