How one couple hosted a wedding with the perfect blend of industrial and bohemian vibes
/After Allison’s first date with Sam, she thought he would most likely be a guy she would see once in her life and never go out with again. She never could have imagined that after years of sweet moments, fun memories and a romantic proposal in Italy, they would end up tying the knot to become Mr. and Mrs. Kosich. Allison and Sam’s wedding day was incredibly special, from their industrial venue and thoughtful touches to a grandma-turned-flower girl skipping down the aisle.
This day had been Allison’s dream for years, as she began curating her wedding Pinterest board almost ten years ago. When the time came to plan her wedding, she just had lots of narrowing down to do! In the end, choosing The Cotton Room, a historic factory-turned-industrial-wedding venue, was just the perfect foundation for Allison and her planner to fill with massive floral installations, a lounging area and, the bride’s favorite, a macrame seating chart. This wedding was a boho, floral-loving, industrial-inspired dream.
Although Allison had been thinking about her wedding day’s look for years, she came into her appointment at Lana Addison bridal a little less sure about what sort of look she wanted for herself on the big day. Her main direction for her stylist was “not too traditional, but still timeless.” Although her stylist pulled a myriad of different silhouettes and styles of gowns, Allison ultimately fell in love with the first gown she tried. It was everything she wanted, “a bit edgy, romantic, sexy, and timeless all in one.”
Leading up to the wedding, Allison was stressed the day wouldn’t go as planned or her guests wouldn’t enjoy themselves, but by the wedding day, all her fears melted away. The weather was perfect, her vision had been excellently executed and all her expectations were exceeded. Ultimately, Allison had her planner to thank for the perfection of the day.
Allison’s planner, from Harmony Weddings NC, kept the bride grounded, stress-free and ultimately gave her the freedom to enjoy her wedding day! Allison said she knew her planner had everything covered, so she didn’t need to worry. Another piece of advice from the recent bride, “number the back of your save the dates so you know who it’s from when it gets returned—I had a surprising amount returned to me completely blank and the only way I knew who it was from was from the number on the back!”
We’re so thrilled for these newlyweds and feel truly honored to have been a part of their beautiful wedding day! We wish Allison and Sam nothing but the best in their new shared life together!
