Ashlyn & Layton — Lana Addison Bridal

Ashlyn and Layton’s love story began on the bleachers of Panther Creek High School in Apex where the two grew up. From attending marching band practice together in high school to moving away to separate colleges, the couple grew closer in love. After 9 years together, Layton popped the question at their beloved Angus Barn. On December 21st, 2019, the sun shrined bright on the couple and their loved ones when the couple prepared to say “I do!”

When shopping for her wedding gown, Ashlyn was hesitant to try a fitted gown. With a little nudge from her party, she slipped into a fit-and-flare beaded lace Pronovias and knew it was the dress she had been waiting for!

“I loved my dress because it had the perfect mix of lace with a little sparkle. I also loved all of the detail – from the scalloped edges to the lacey top and the way that I could customize it to make it truly my own by removing the allusion neckline and sleeves to become short sleeves with the perfect open back. The alterations team did an exceptional job and made my dress even better than what I thought it could ever be. I also wore my mother’s veil and the dress went perfectly with it so it was meant to be!”

Ashlyn’s favorite moments from her wedding day all boiled down to one important aspect of her day: Family! Between putting on her gown with the help of her mom and mother-in-law, being married by Layton’s sentimental uncle, and performing a special dance with her father for her wedding guests, she vowed to soak in the day and cherish every moment.
